Vertex Paint Niagara System

Dynamically specifying areas of a skeletal mesh or static mesh to serve as the system particle source can be achieved by linking the vertex color to the system.

Under Particle Spawn, a Kill Particles module can be added and configured as follows so that the specified channel of the vertex color (in this case, A) determines which areas of the mesh should have its particles killed.


With this in place, simply vertex painting the specified channel in Vertex Paint mode can dynamically add or remove areas of the mesh to have particles emitting.
