Utilization

This is particularly useful as a way of creating attributes and corresponding mapped local variables onto template points being used by a Copy Stamp SOP.

Parameters

Local Variable

If not enabled, then the name given to the attribute is assigned to be the same for its local variable mapping name, but in all uppercase. For instance, attribute @pt_id is mapped to local variable $PT_ID (as well as $PT_ID1). Depending on the attribute data type, a number of associated local variables can be created. Houdini 18.5 Nodes Geometry nodes Adds or edits user defined attributes. Note Strings are added as "Index" attributes, not as actual "String" attributes. This is only important if you are using these with the HDK. Note While each attribute is added in turn, you cannot refer to the previous attribute in the values of the next attribute.
